Moqueca de Camarao -Easy Brazilian Fish Stew Recipe
Moqueca de Camarao is a Brazilian fish stew recipe that is mouthwatering and also authentic. It can be prepared with any seafood. Onion 1 chopped or sliced any way you like it
Bell peppers yellow and red sliced
3-4 garlic cloves
Two green chilly sliced
One can of coconut milk
1 tbsp of tomato paste
2 cups of fresh chopped tomatoes
Palm oil 1tbsp
Fish white about 250g
Lime juice 2 tbsp
Coriander 2tbsp chopped
Method Of Preparation Of The Fish Stew Recipe
Marinate the fish and shrimp with two spoons of lime juice, salt, and also paprika for about half an hour. Keep the marinated fish in the fridge and let it absorb all the flavors slowly.
In a pan add olive oil let it heat for a few minutes. Then add sliced onions. Toss the onions till it changes its color.
Now add sliced bell peppers, chopped garlic, and also sliced green chilly. Mix them all well.
After a minute or so, add cumin powder, salt, and paprika. Stir them all.
Now add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and also marinated fish and shrimp.
Finally, add the main ingredient of the dish that is coconut milk. Mix it with the fish properly and let it simmer for 15 minutes on low flame. Cover the bowl with lid.
Furthermore, after the given time, add a tbsp of palm oil and chopped coriander. Top it up with freshly crushed pepper.
